What Clover stores
- Discord identifiers: user, server, channel, role and message IDs, along with usernames and avatars where a feature needs them.
- Hall entries: a copy of the nominated message's text, author details and attachment links.
- Moderation records: cases, reasons, notes and appeals.
- Security incidents: what was detected and a sample of up to 300 characters of the message that triggered it.
- Community data: levels, credits, reputation and achievements.
- Files: anything uploaded to Clover Cloud, along with its metadata and activity log.
- Usage logs: which commands were run, by whom and whether they succeeded.
Messages are scanned as they arrive so that security filters and XP can work. Message text is not kept unless one of the features above stores it.
What Clover does not do
- It does not sell your data.
- It does not show one server's records to another server.
- It does not make private files public unless someone with access creates a share link.
Third parties
Clover relies on Discord, Vercel for hosting this website, and Cloudflare for DNS and network routing. If a server turns on assisted features, messages its rule filters flag, and support questions, are sent to our model provider, Ollama, to be reviewed. Text in images is read on our own machine. If a server turns on message archiving, it keeps messages for the period it chooses, and members can ask that server to erase theirs. Integrations a server adds send data where that server directs them.
Retention and removal
Trashed files are deleted after 30 days. Other records stay until a server's managers remove them or ask for them to be deleted. Removing the bot from a server does not delete that server's data automatically.
